Position: Business Development Manager Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar)

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Reports to: Country Manager

Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the companys renewable energy business growth, with a primary focus on wind and solar projects. This position requires a highly motivated professional with extensive industry knowledge, a strong network of contacts within Thailands renewable energy sector, and the ability to generate and close new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the companys presence in Thailands renewable energy market.
  • Leverage existing contact databases and networks with leading players such as GE, Siemens Gamesa, and other major OEMs and developers.
  • Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and identify trends to support long-term business growth.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • Lead the end-to-end business development process, including prospecting, proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings.
  • Work closely with internal technical, legal, and operations teams to align client requirements with service delivery capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in business development, account management, or sales within the renewable energy sector (wind/solar).
  • Demonstrated ability to access and utilize a strong contact database of major renewable players in Thailand.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with excellent English proficiency (spoken & written).
  • Technical background is an advantage but not essential.
  • Proven track record of winning and managing business within the renewable energy sector.
