Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our growing team. The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying our company website, from layout to function. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user experience and be able to translate our company's needs into functional and appealing interactive web pages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop the company website, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
- Collaborate with marketing team to create visually appealing and user-friendly web pages
- Optimize website for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Write clean, well-designed code and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and industry trends
- Conduct regular website maintenance and updates
- Monitor website traffic and performance, and make recommendations for improvement
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure website integration with other systems
- Collaborate with external vendors or contractors as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in web development
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web development languages
- Experience with content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Drupal) and web hosting platforms
- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
- Strong understanding of user experience and design principles
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology is a plus
Location:
This position is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but may require occasional travel to other locations for meetings or projects.
