Medical Transcriptionist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for listening to recorded dictations from healthcare professionals and transcribing them into written documents. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent typing skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately transcribe medical reports, patient histories, physical examination notes, and other healthcare documentation.
• Ensure all transcriptions are completed in a timely manner and adhere to established quality standards.
• Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear dictations or terminology.
• Maintain organized records of transcribed documents and manage digital files efficiently.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and transcription technology to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist or in a similar role.
• Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record systems.
• Certification in medical transcription is preferred but not required.
