The role
As a Kitchen Helper youll be working with an amazing team everyday. Its really important to be friendly, attentive and timely to create an exceptional experience for all our customers. Each person in the team's main goal is to show our customers the memorable experience they can have here every time they visit.
Its important to make every meal truly memorable for our guests by serving up high standards with our signature flare. Must have great communication with your whole team be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to.
You have what it takes:
1 - 2 years of experience working in restaurants kitchen;
You are resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with high energy, a positive attitude, and the ability to contribute in a team environment;
Ability to think creatively and innovatively - always aligned with the companys values;
Ability to multitask;
Ability to work in a very busy environment;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Ability to stand for long periods of time;
Ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances;
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures;
Strong communication skills;
Excellent organisational skills;
What you spend most of your time doing:
Preparation and confection of meals and light dishes;
Collaborate in the elaboration of menus;
Receive the supplies and other products necessary for the preparation of meals, being responsible for their safekeeping and conservation;
Serve and garnish the cooked dishes;
Prepare the desserts for the meals;
Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and other equipment;
Follow to the letter the technical sheets provided by the management.
Prepare the meal ingredients for the cook, which includes washing, peeling, cutting and slicing the ingredients;
Assisting the kitchen staff in unloading food supplies from delivery trucks;
Properly wash and dry all dishes, utensils, cookware, and cutting boards;
Neatly arrange all utensils, kitchen tools, dishes, and cutting boards in their respective places;
Packing delivery orders as needed;
Removing trash, replacing trash bags, and washing trash cans;
Scrubbing and sweeping kitchen areas as needed;
Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards;
Follow health and safety procedures (HACCP).
