The Role

As a 3rd Cook at Vida Plena, you play a key role in supporting daily kitchen operations — ensuring every prep, portion, and cooking task contributes to a smooth and high-quality service. You bring consistency, precision, and teamwork to the heart of our culinary process, helping the kitchen run efficiently and to the highest standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, weigh, and label ingredients according to daily prep lists

  • Keep station and shared prep areas sanitized and organized throughout the shift

  • Assist line cooks with basic cooking (e.g., blanching, portioning, stock upkeep)

  • Rotate stock using FIFO and promptly report low levels or quality issues

  • Dispose of waste following recycling and compost guidelines

  • Record temperature, cleaning, and allergen logs as required

  • Follow all chef instructions and standard recipes without deviation

  • Support dish area and prepare daily staff meal as required.

What We Expect From You

  • Experience: 0–1 year in a professional kitchen or culinary internship.

  • Basic knife handling, ingredient prep, and familiarity with kitchen tools.

  • Understanding of hygiene standards, food safety, and kitchen organization.

  • Reliable, calm under pressure, and eager to learn from senior chefs.

  • Cooperative, respectful, and motivated to grow within the team.

  • Basic English required; local language is a plus.
