The Position:

The Executive Director of Market Access, Value-Based Contracting guides and executes key elements of Market Access Strategy, with a focus on payers that evaluate new diagnostics based on clear health economics and patient outcomes. This role will report directly to the SVP, GM, Pulmonology & Market Access.

  • Develop a plan to measure budget impact, health economic value creation for each of the products in the portfolio.
  • Build a budget and coordinate with medical directors, marketing colleagues and consultants to execute development of value dossiers.
  • Identify and prioritize payers, capitated or self-insured integrated health networks, self-insured employer groups as targets for contracting.
  • Negotiate terms for coverage and contracting.
  • Coordinate teams for development and execution of pilot agreements, collaborations, and long-term contracts.
  • Participate in new product planning efforts, strategic initiatives.

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years of experience in a market access setting with a focus on diagnostics and/or pharmacy benefits management. Experience in molecular diagnostics, medical devices and/or pharma is a strong plus.
  • Bachelors degree required and advanced degree in science, health care is preferred.
  • Ability to excel strategically and with tactical execution.
  • Strong experience in negotiation and contracting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and to achieve goals, support revenue generation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial implications of reimbursement structures.
