IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Able to work with CCTV systems.
  • Able to work unsupervised in the field.
  • Able to perceive the full range of the color spectrum.
  • Able to follow proper evidence handling and chain of custody procedures.
  • Able to work in different weather conditions and tolerate exposure to air pollutants and dust.
  • Able to operate the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Able to learn new software, tools, and technologies, and be able to quickly adapt when new solutions arise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years of experience in a commercial photographic laboratory, including experience in color processing.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • Color processing experience.
  • All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
  • Positions in the Police Department must meet the background standards that are appropriate to non-sworn positions. 
  • Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

  • Experience troubleshooting with network and digital video recorders.
  • Experience using digital records management systems, e.g., Xtender, Evidence.com.
  • Experience using Microsoft 350, duplicating data and various internal browsing software.
  • Experience using Axon Investigate (iNPUT-ACE), Amped Five, BriefCam, DVR Examiner.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, e.g. Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop.
