About the job Director of Strategy - Nutrition & Childcare (Remote)
The Job
We are looking for a Strategy Director who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of lower income families and wants to dive into some of the hardest societal challenges around. Working with state and local government clients you will lead the strategic thinking on challenges like how do we reduce obesity in food deserts and how do we prevent toxic stress developing in under 5s. We are looking for someone who wants to become a specialist in supporting families to make healthier decisions in both nutrition and under 5s childhood development, through integrated communications campaigns and activations.
To be successful in this role youll be passionate about nutrition and child development and will care about helping families who are less structurally advantaged. You will be experienced at leading strategic projects, working alongside senior client service, creative directors and research leads to develop a plan, gain client alignment and build out recommendations, presentations and briefs to make meaningful change. You will be passionate about driving tangible behavior change, thinking through how change happens, messaging to drive change and how it could be meaningfully measured. Ideally you would have experience mentoring other strategists but this isnt mandatory.
Day-To-Day Activities:
Strategic Development
- Develop strategic positionings for public health brands and see that strategy across all campaign elements, analytics and evaluation
- Determine behavioral health outcomes / goals
- Develop clear, succinct creative briefs, decks and papers
- Develop messaging architecture that builds over time
Research Partnership
- Clearly outline qualitative and quantitative research needs
- Participate in focus groups
- Help define learnings & recommendations
- Use a combo of quant research and cultural trends to tell a story
- Utilize quant trackers & data to find the hidden gems that prove your theories
Creative Partnership
- Inspire and guide creative teams
- Provide insights, facts and ideas for the team to work with as necessary
- Ensure brand & assets are on strategy and appropriate for our audiences, behaviors and clients
- Comms Planning Partnership
- Work with communication planners to integrate comms frameworks and messaging
- Collaborate on campaign objectives and KPIs
Collaboration, Presentation & Relationship-Building
- Work with, partner with and inspire across teams
- Meet with clients to listen, present and discuss strategic pov
- Present and discuss work both internally and externally
- Make clients feel / see that you are their trusted advisor and partner
Required Qualifications:
- 12 years relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree +7 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree +5 years relevant experience
- Ad agency experience preferred
- Extensive writing experience to guide creative teams
- Experience presenting to and talking with clients
- Ability to learn about & understand a wide range of points of view
