About the job Key Account Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial activities and engagements with established and growing Stationary accounts, working with the Senior Director, Stationary Business Development, and the wider commercial team to support the delivery of the sales strategy.
  • Own the relationship with a list of assigned accounts and drive sales growth through developing relationships at strategic and executive levels; working in collaboration with the delivery team to ensure customer satisfaction and continued revenue.
  • Lead collaborative activities across the business to deliver compelling proposals that meet customer requirements
  • Generate new leads and manage the sales process for targeted customers within the commercial and industrial markets for stationary applications
  • Manage the sales process to facilitate new engagements and develop plans, ensure opportunities are qualified, and make compelling presentations of our capabilities. As opportunities progress, you will lead negotiation and kick off new contracts.
  • Manage all communication between internal teams and the client ensuring you understand the client organization structure and guarantee consistent communication at all stages of engagement
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, including the delivery of business unit value propositions
  • Maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferably engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in the energy storage, renewables, or commercial power distribution markets
  • Previous account management experience
  • Experience in energy sales to large commercial or industrial customers, utilities, independent power produces, or EPC/consulting firms
  • Deep knowledge of the industry
  • Excellent customer negotiation skills
  • Proven track record achieving or exceeding order targets
  • Willingness and ability to travel around 20%

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful experience in the pricing and negotiation of engineering programmes and components
  • Experience of bringing new technologies to market from a tier 1 supplier or OEM perspective
  • Expert in stake holder management of commercial relationships
  • Expert in sales process and strategic planning
  • Experienced in the project management of the sales process
  • Relevant engineering degree
