About the job DEPUTY SHERIFF - FIELD OPERATIONS (PATROL)
Job Description
We are seeking professional, dedicated individuals who are interested in a position in law enforcement, specifically as a Patrol Deputy working 42-hours per week. Loudoun County is the fastest growing County in the Commonwealth of Virginia and offers a competitive salary and benefits package as well as a relocation bonus for those residing more than 50 roadway miles from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Administrative Building.
All selected applicants, who are not currently certified as a Virginia Law Enforcement officer, must successfully complete a Virginia law enforcement academy upon hire. Additionally, all applicants must complete the department's Field Training Officer program. Loudoun County Sheriff's Office offers numerous specialized positions within the agency upon successful completion of all required training.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Job Requirements
Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, U.S. Citizen, minimum age of 21, and a current valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications are a college degree, prior law enforcement experience, and/or military experience.
Special Requirements
The Sheriff's Office provides service to the community 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. All sworn employees must be able to work any and all shifts as assigned.
