About the job Network Security Engineer
PRIMARY FUNCTION (Includes the following, other duties may be assigned)
- Work in a Healthcare Systems Support Environment
- Ensure the up-time, health, and efficiency of the production network
- Strong knowledge and experience of Active Directory, Azure management, distributing Group Policy and building organizational Units to manage network security.
- Manage, maintain, monitor, and build out physical and virtual server environments
- Performs system and network analysis of intrusions to the network infrastructure, applications, operating systems, firewalls, proxy devices, malware detection and data encryption and other security measures.
- Develop, maintain, and improve internal tools for network and server security monitoring and maintenance
- Install, upgrade, and patch OS and application software
- Performs in-depth network security analysis including preliminary incident response, event analysis threat intelligence and log reviews.
- Monitor network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future
- Management of Networking Switches including Cisco and Aruba, VLANs, Routing, NATs, Firewalls and VPNs.
- Assist in build-out of new network and server infrastructure/new data center locations
- Investigate and troubleshoot system and user issues
- Manages Intrusion Defense Systems; includes Firewall, IDS, IPS, Internet Web browsing; reviews performance metrics; produces periodic management reports.
- Share on-call responsibilities, night and weekend project, and support work as required.
- Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of security

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 5 years experience Networking Systems Administrator.
- Minimum 5 Years Windows Administration.
- VLAN switch experience, CCNA or Network + preferred.
- Advanced level experience with the design and setup, relating to various networking models and architectures, networks and their servers and functions, and technologies including such protocols as TCP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, HTTP.
- Expert with Administration of Windows 2012 -2019 Server, Active Directory, Azure, Intune, Application Servers, Terminal Servers, DNS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Network Switches and Routers/UTM, TCP/IP.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly under pressure and be able to adequately apply those skills or train others in those skills effectively.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills to assist and work effectively with all staff; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Must interact with numerous computer platforms in a multilayered client server environment. Need to interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including file systems, e-mail system, computer conferencing equipment, application servers and internet connectivity.
