Job Description:

Job Summary

This position provides a full scope of obstetric and gynecological care, including routine well-woman services, prenatal and postnatal care, labor and delivery, and hospital-based procedures. The role requires strong clinical skills, compassionate patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy outpatient environment serving a diverse patient population.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and treat patients throughout pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal counseling, delivery, and postpartum care, sometimes in collaboration with midwives.

  • Conduct patient follow-up visits to assess health status and treatment progress.

  • Counsel patients on preventive health, reproductive wellness, and safe practices.

  • Order, interpret, and analyze medical tests, screenings, biopsies, and imaging studies.

  • Guide and supervise medical staff such as nurses, physician assistants, and medical technologists on proper procedures and protocols.

  • Provide high-quality routine womens health care with strong diagnostic and treatment skills for gynecological and obstetric conditions.

  • Maintain efficient patient flow in a busy clinic with both scheduled and same-day appointments.

  • Work effectively within a collaborative care environment alongside other providers and care team members.

  • Deliver culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.

  • Stay current on medical advancements through continued education, journals, and professional development activities.

Job Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

  • Valid license to practice and board certification (or board eligibility).

  • Two or more years of clinical experience in hospital or private practice preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency in patient charting and familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
