Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to perform complex technical functions supporting system design, integration, fabrication, and testing of electronic and electro-mechanical systems. This role involves developing technical documentation, implementing power solutions for military payloads, and providing hands-on installation and integration support. The position may also require leading Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and supporting customer operational needs.

What You Will Do

  • Perform complex technical functions supporting system design, power analysis, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems

  • Develop power and system block diagrams, wiring schematics, and cable-build drawing packages

  • Engineer and implement power solutions and integration strategies for military payloads

  • Conduct on-site installation, fabrication, integration, and testing of electronic circuits and mechanical systems

  • Provide technical support to customers regarding operational and maintenance aspects of equipment

  • Interpret technical drawings and plan system and cable installations

  • Update system drawings and recommend upgrades or improvements as appropriate

  • Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) when required

Requirements

  • Five or more years of computer and networking experience

  • Five or more years of electronics and electrical experience

  • Five or more years of cable fabrication experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including assembly, power, wiring, rack elevation, and cable-build diagrams

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required with Top Secret / SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications

  • Formal electronics training

  • Cable fabrication training (MIL-DTL-5015, D38999, RJ45, RF connectors such as N-type and SMA)

  • Electrical training with knowledge of three-phase delta and wye systems

  • Integration experience, preferably with shipboard systems

  • Familiarity with military communication systems

  • Demonstrated leadership ability
