Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payer, provider, financial, and related contract activities. This role includes managing the full contract lifecyclefrom drafting and negotiation to review and executionwhile ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards. The position requires strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support strategic contracting initiatives and optimize organizational performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full lifecycle of payer, provider, financial, and related contracts, including drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and executing agreements

  • Develop and maintain standardized contract templates that promote consistency and compliance

  • Maintain an accurate contracts database, tracking terms, reimbursement structures, and renewal dates

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, revenue cycle, credentialing, and practice leadership to ensure contract terms are implemented correctly

  • Analyze payer agreements and reimbursement methodologies to identify trends and improvement opportunities

  • Serve as a resource for contract interpretation, offering guidance on terms, obligations, and strategic impacts

  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure contractual accuracy and compliance

  • Support strategic initiatives involving payer relations, provider compensation models, and financial contracting strategies

  • Manage multiple contract-related priorities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, paralegal)

  • 35 years of experience in contract administration within healthcare, legal, financial, or operational environments

  • Familiarity with payer processes, healthcare provider agreements, and financial contracts

  • Knowledge of healthcare provider credentialing is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with contract management platforms preferred
