Job Summary
The Maintenance Team Member is responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, service, and repair boilers, compressors, circulating pumps, air conditioning units, heating systems, and related controls.
- Inspect, service, and repair electric motors, relays, switches, and electrical control systems.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including plumbing, masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding, and electrical repairs.
- Install and maintain 110V, 220V, and 440V electrical services.
- Operate heavy-duty vehicles, snowplows, spreaders, and basic construction equipment.
- Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and cherry pickers.
- Lead maintenance crews and assume Foreman responsibilities when required.
- Estimate materials needed for maintenance and repair projects.
- Perform welding and brazing tasks.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with building, construction, and electrical codes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, Trade School, Technical School, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance or construction.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and using testing equipment.
- Skilled in plumbing, carpentry, masonry, welding, roofing, and electrical work.
- Knowledge of steam and hot water industrial boiler systems.
- Black Seal License or ability to obtain it within the required timeframe.
- Ability to work independently and supervise maintenance personnel when needed.
