Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Marshall, TX

Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, workplace safety, and efficient plant performance. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and effective coordination between maintenance and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and team development.

  • Maintain and implement a preventive maintenance program through a work order system.

  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards.

  • Provide leadership and foster strong communication between maintenance and production operations.

  • Ensure maintenance coverage for plant operations, machine repairs, and project implementation.

  • Manage procurement and inventory of spare parts.

  • Document time, maintenance activities, and work performed in a computer-based maintenance management system (CMMS).

  • Review and approve maintenance team work orders for accuracy and completion.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership, team-building, and organizational skills.

  • Mechanical and electrical background required; certifications are a plus.

  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience preferred.

  • Experience with computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.

  • Experience with wheeled loaders, knuckle booms, skid steers, and semi-trailer repair a plus.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as required based on plant maintenance needs.

  • Occasional travel may be required to support other facilities.
