Cyber Engineer (Group Policy) Onsite, Colorado Springs, CO
Program Overview:
This role supports a critical Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, which integrates missile defense systems. The program enables strategic, regional, and operational leaders to plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor developments, and dynamically manage networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve mission objectives. It also plays a key role in system ground and flight tests to verify and exercise current and future missile defense system capabilities.
Position Overview:
This position fulfills a Cyber Engineering technical role in support of the C2BMC program.
Responsibilities:

Develop and test patches to fix vulnerabilities in software, hardware, and firmware.

Focus on vulnerability management, including analysis and remediation of:
-
IAVMs
-
Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs)
-
Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs)
-
Vendor patches
-
STIG configurations
-
-
Install and configure Linux systems from OS to application level.
-
Document and verify all installation and configuration procedures for labs.
-
Develop test plans and procedures for software integration and unit testing.
-
Collaborate with software developers and/or vendors to diagnose and resolve integration issues.
-
Submit problem reports for errors following Agile processes; coordinate daily integration activities with other Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

Develop and implement Cyber Releases in labs, test facilities, and operations.

Install and test Cyber Product units.

Provide feedback and redlines to engineers and Cyber Leadership.

Document lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards.
Requirements:
-
Active DoD SECRET security clearance.
-
Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, or Masters with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Current DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).

Experience in writing and deploying Group Policy Objects (GPOs) using Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM).

Thorough understanding of GPOs for access control management, policy compliance, and network security.
-
Technical troubleshooting of COTS software applications, analyzing system vulnerabilities and mission impacts, and implementing risk mitigation.

Hands-on experience configuring and patching Windows systems using GPOs across Active Directory domains.

Scripting, installing, and testing GPOs on Windows hosts.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience executing Agile tasks across a System Development Lifecycle.

Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools such as:

Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

Experience analyzing and implementing NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls as part of Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation across mission-critical systems.
