Job Summary
The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating the delivery of nursing care and supporting clinical operations on the unit. This role provides leadership in collaboration with medical, ancillary, and support staff to uphold nursing standards and ensure high-quality patient care. The Charge Nurse also serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model for nursing staff.
Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee nursing care delivery on the unit

Collaborate with medical, ancillary, and support teams to maintain clinical standards

Serve as a leadership and clinical resource for nursing staff

Promote quality and continuity of patient care

Support the professional development of team members

Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications

Active RN license
-
Current BLS certification
-
ACLS certification preferred upon hire; required within 90 days
Experience
-
One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred

Additional preferred experience includes:
-
Emergency or critical care environments
-
Experience with vents, trachs, PICC lines, etc.

Two years of direct patient care
