Key Responsibilities:
- Lead experimental design and method optimization for single-cell sequencing, contributing to high-impact research in computational oncology.
- Collaborate closely with researchers and the genomics core to apply advanced sequencing techniques to complex biological samples.
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, procedures, and technical summaries to support reproducibility and data integrity.
- Identify anomalies in data and troubleshoot experimental designs to ensure successful outcomes.
- Mentor and provide feedback to junior lab members, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external collaborators, delivering clear presentations in both technical and non-technical settings.
- Contribute to discussions on the strategic direction of the lab and support the operational goals of the genomics core.
- Think creatively to develop new methodologies and experimental approaches to advance research capabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field with at least 3 years of post-doctoral experience in an academic or research setting.
- Proven experience in experimental and computational genomics, with a focus on NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) assay development.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex data to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
- A proven track record in mentorship, with a strong interest in helping others succeed and providing constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and addressing issues efficiently and independently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.
