About the job Senior Project Manager/MEP
The Senior Project Manager provides onsite leadership, coordination, and direction for construction management activities for multiple or complex projects. Duties include ensuring the project(s) are on budget, on schedule, and that the design meets contract requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing the following services or supervising team members who perform these services:

Provides project/construction management services on multiple or complex projects

Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with stakeholder requirements

Coordinates with departments to identify project intent and ensure all project programming activities are accomplished (scope development, budget, and milestone schedule)

Coordinates with Engineering Manager to oversee the design process, including scope development, RFP issuance, and stakeholder reviews

Develops detailed scopes of work, conducts joint scope/bid walks, reviews contractor proposals, and issues notices to proceed

Coordinates and communicates all construction activities with customer departments

Maintains project schedule and budget through all phases

Ensures construction is completed according to approved plans and specifications

Conducts and documents project status meetings

Manages all project documentation and assists with project closeout package

Coordinates and monitors activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, and architects

Manages cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures as required

Provides logistics, organizational, and safety management
-
Ensures closeout process includes warranties, guarantees, and turnover documents

Enforces adherence to safety requirements

Performs other duties to ensure project success
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Architecture or equivalent (required)

Minimum 10 years of experience (within last 15 years) in CPM consulting, including 7+ years on repair, maintenance, or refurbishment of institutional/government facilities

Design-Bid-Build, Job Order Contract, and/or Best Value Construction Management experience (preferred)

Minimum 3 years experience supervising staff as a Senior Project Manager

Experience on small to mid-size projects, including deferred maintenance

Advanced knowledge of project planning, A/E solicitation, estimating, scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, and delivery methods (required)

Thorough understanding of contracts, specs, project accounting, and administrative functions

Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, E-Builder, Prolog, Primavera

Experience with government facility construction and modernization (preferred)

Justice-related project experience (required)

Architectural registration (preferred)
-
Certified Construction Manager (preferred)
