Qualifications:
5+ years of business development experience.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to network effectively.
Analytical and presentation skills.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience interfacing with professionals at varying levels, including C-level executives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Background or interest in computer science, engineering, math, physics, or a related technical/quantitative field.
Business development experience in a technical field.
Familiarity with computational software tools.
Responsibilities:
Identify and engage with potential clients across multiple sectors in need of technology solutions and consulting, especially in AI and data science.
Implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with high-level clients, including government agencies and corporate decision-makers.
Negotiate contracts, close deals, and manage client accounts to ensure long-term satisfaction and growth.
Navigate complex procurement processes and lead contract negotiations with precision.
Communicate effectively with high-level or challenging clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D and Product Development, to align offerings with customer needs.
Engage with executive leadership for strategic direction and to share insights from the field.
Apply domain expertise when communicating with customers and develop strong proficiency in the company’s technology stack.
Additional Details:
Location: Champaign, Illinois, or remote.
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) / Permanent.
Reporting to: Executive Director & Chief of Operations.
Salary (for U.S. candidates):Base salary: Up to $120,000 per year.
Final offer and earnings may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
