Jr. Service Technician

Job Description:

As a Junior Service Technician at PPS, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high-speed printing equipment primarily in the Livonia area, with occasional travel throughout the Central Region to provide support during vacations, training, or installations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to develop their technical skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair Canon OCE and Konica Minolta equipment at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using diagnostic tools and service manuals
• Manage parts inventory and ensure compliance with operational standards
• Provide on-call support after hours on a rotating basis once training is complete
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
• Occasionally travel outside the Livonia area for coverage and assistance, including vacation and installation support
• Complete online training within the first three months of employment and stay current on industry trends through ongoing training

Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Basic PC literacy and understanding of network concepts
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Willingness to travel within the Central Region and participate in an on-call rotation
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
