Role Overview:

As a Residential Door Attendant, you will be stationed in the lobby to observe the entry of all persons into the building and ensure safety and security. Your duties will include managing visitor logs, controlling access to the building, handling packages, and assisting residents and visitors with various needs. You will maintain the post appearance and assist with mail, packages, and vehicle entry. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting medium to heavy weights. You will also be exposed to outside elements during the workday.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the entry of all persons into the building, maintaining a complete and accurate log of visitors and workmen.
  • Control keys and provide apartment access to authorized residents and family members as needed.
  • Accept and securely store packages for residents, returning them when requested.
  • Sort and distribute mail and packages.
  • Report building problems or emergencies.
  • Maintain building security procedures and control public gatherings in entrance areas.
  • Assist residents and visitors in getting into and out of vehicles.
  • Provide access cards and collect payments at checkout.
  • Maintain lobby and bathroom appearance.
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build customer relationships.
  • High energy, urgency, and passion for customer service.
  • Comfortable with diverse groups of people.

Core Skills:

  • Good judgment and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in concierge or as a Door Attendant is preferred.
  • Understanding of Buildinglink and Keylink systems is a plus.
