A Court Systems Supervisor, under the general direction of the Circuit Court Administrator, is responsible for assisting in the understanding, maintaining, and operating the many different systems used by Circuit and Friend of the Court. These systems include, but are not limited to, the OnBase Electronic Management System, Michigan Child Support Enforcement System (MiCSES), AS400/JIS System, multiple databases, and Michigan Court Application Portal (MCAP). The Court Systems Supervisor coordinates those activities which impact the Courts case management functions. The position involves analysis and development of recommendations on court-related issues and management of complex projects. The Court Systems Supervisor must be skilled at customer service, project planning, problem solving, analyzing situations, thinking creatively, and making decisions. The Court Systems Supervisor is also responsible for the supervision of Circuit and Friend of the Court employees who work within the court systems and acts as a liaison with judicial staff and Circuit Court Records on relevant matters.

Required Minimum Entrance Qualifications

Possess a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university AND (1) year of experience in a court setting or office environment, OR;

Associates Degree from an accredited college or university AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a court setting or office environment, OR;

High School Diploma, or equivalent, AND five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a court setting or office environment.

Preferred but Not Required
OnBase and prior supervisory experience preferred.

An employee in this class performs generally sedentary or light physical work activities requiring the occasional lifting of objects weighing up to thirty-five (35 )pounds.

A Court Systems Supervisor generally works in the Circuit/Friend of the Court office.
