Assistant General Counsel I, Preclinical Research Contracts Team

Role Overview
- Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage various research agreements, including sponsored and collaborative research agreements, materials/data transfer agreements, consortium agreements, and more.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with investigators and internal stakeholders.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement contract guidance documents, workflows, SOPs, and tools for managing agreements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the legal team to address emerging legal, business, and institutional issues.
- Special Projects: Participate in special legal projects and initiatives as assigned by Legal Leadership.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership in good standing.
- Experience:
- 46 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating research-related contracts in a high-volume setting.
- Preferably familiar with academic or non-profit institutions.
- Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of contract law, intellectual property issues, and research or healthcare transactions.
