Job Summary
The position of Exclusive Brand Specialist will lead strategy and execution for Exclusive Brand growth, margin targets, and market positioning through business intelligence, cross-functional collaboration, sales training, and creative marketing initiatives.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 in any one work week. The Exclusive Brand Specialist will be accountable to, and supervised by, the Director of Sales for their region.
Responsibilities
- Utilize business intelligence data to set strategy and action plans to achieve case growth targets in all Exclusive Brand product categories.
- Utilize business intelligence data to set strategy and action plans to achieve margin targets in all Exclusive Brand product categories.
- Act as an ambassador for all Exclusive Brands and work in the field with the sales team to train Account Executives on the application of brands and their value to customers.
- Conduct product cuttings with customers and at sales meetings to demonstrate quality features and benefits.
- Work with Marketing and Purchasing teams to ensure Exclusive Brand products and price points are positioned correctly in the marketplace.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and communicate product gaps or new trends in the marketplace.
- Execute Exclusive Brand messaging electronically and through print materials for all promotional activities to drive the brand narrative.
- Support and design food shows or marketing events to enhance the Exclusive Brand image.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, brand management, or brand marketing.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience managing a brand across multiple states and diverse clientele.
- Creative thinker and problem solver.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Project management experience, with a solid understanding of project management principles and techniques.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify long-term opportunities and trends.
