The Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, plus four (4) years of experience performing in a support role within office management, records retention, archives, or library assistance.
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree
Additional education and experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the above requirements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Drivers License: With proof of automobile insurance
- Background Check: Must have an acceptable background record
- Driving Abstract: Must have an acceptable driving record
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of some archives and/or records management and file organization principles.
- Knowledge of office management practices.
- Knowledge of the proper operation and capabilities of personal computers.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with users, the public, outside vendors, and co-workers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with work colleagues, supervisors, managers and the public.
- Ability to supervise subordinates in support role within the division
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Maintains records retention and disposal schedules in compliance with records management guidelines.
- Responds to request for records.
