Clinical Nurse Bone Marrow Transplant

An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to join a dynamic team in providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients. This role is ideal for a nursing professional eager to make a meaningful impact in a multidisciplinary care setting.

Role Overview

  • Care Model: Function in a reciprocal Advanced Practice Provider-based Ambulatory Care Practice Model.
  • Chemotherapy Administration: Administer chemotherapy, supportive care, perform patient assessments, provide symptom management, and offer patient/family education to Allogeneic transplant recipients.
  • Autologous Transplant Care: Administer conditioning chemotherapy, supportive care, perform patient assessments, and provide education to Autologous transplant recipients.
  • Car T Cell Therapy: Provide chemotherapy and assist with managing patients receiving Car T Cell therapy.
  • Telemedicine: Utilize telemedicine for supportive care and patient assessments for homebound transplant recipients.
  • Multidisciplinary Care: Participate in multidisciplinary care to support transplant patients in the home setting and throughout their healthcare continuum.
  • Patient Education: Assist in implementing patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care.

Key Qualifications

  • License & Education: New York State RN license and BSN required.
  • Experience: Bone Marrow Transplant experience preferred, with at least 2 years of recent experience in Hematology/BMT Oncology.
  • Certifications: National certification strongly preferred.
  • BCLS: Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
