  • Windows server administration duties including but not limited to patching, AD, Group Policies, DNS
  • Maintain and be subject matter Expert for Storage and top performance for windows disk IO in relation to Azure templates and software limitations.
  • Security must be followed by Government STIG/DOD standards.
  • NIST 800-53 compliance must be followed.
  • Follow, maintain, assist in creation, of policy controls for regulatory compliance for audit and Industry Certifications.
  • Create and maintain environment/system documentation and technical specs.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all system administration.
  • Perform system administration tasks such as backups, restores, maintenance plans, Vulnerability scans and patching, Disaster recovery planning/execution/testing, and integrity checks of the various items listed.
  • Independently analyze issues or opportunities. Develop recommendations and solutions based on findings and business needs. Communicate to Business and Technical team planned solutions, impacts, and timelines.
  • Perform analysis of current and future environments for more efficient and cost savings solutions.
  • Support key technology initiatives with Containerization technologies.
  • Support key components of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Create automated functions, reports, or extracts to satisfy system audits and compliance of regulatory requirements in support of core system and ancillary applications.
  • Provide support to staff and team members.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for Helpdesk Tickets.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree- If no degree a total of 10 years' experience in IT.
  • Minimum of 5 years + Experience with Windows System Administration, Office 365 administration, Palo Alto firewalls
  • 2 years + Experience with Containerization technologies, Kubernetes, Docker preferred
  • Microsoft industry certifications for 2016, 2019 and 2022 would be favorable.
  • Strong understanding of disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, system calls)
  • Strong understanding of high availability concepts with practical experience and implementation of key components in storage environment
  • Strong Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, DNS, configurations, facilitating seamless communication and network stability
  • Proficiency in system automation - PowerShell
  • FedRAMP experience is a plus.
  • Trouble shooting excellence is a must.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people.
  • Ability to function in fast paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to successfully perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Azure and Citrix knowledge is a plus.
  • All Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
