Role Overview:
Environmental Service Aides play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized environment for patients, their families, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include following cleaning guidelines, ensuring proper waste removal, completing small moves, and adhering to safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the Seven Step Cleaning guidelines outlined in the Environmental Services Aide (ESA) Manual.
- Adhere to safety protocols for waste removal, chemical usage, and equipment operation.
- Remove general and infectious waste as well as soiled linen.
- Operate floor cleaning equipment, cardboard bailer, and trash compactor.
- Attend scheduled department and organizational meetings.
- Complete additional projects or tasks assigned by management.
