Duties and Tasks:

  • Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the AI Center, aligning initiatives with organizational objectives and future technology trends.
  • Support the efforts of faculty, staff, and administrators to drive AI innovation across all operational units of the college.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the AI Center and other business units, acting as a bridge to incorporate AI solutions into products, services, and processes.
  • Effectively manage the resources of the AI Center in terms of personnel, rooms, and technology to support a variety of courses and projects.
  • Establish and maintain ties with local businesses and industries to assess their needs and opportunities in the AI space.
  • Maintain relationships with Business and Industry Leadership Teams to support the colleges academic evolution and integration of AI.
  • Provide thought leadership by speaking at industry events and publishing influential content related to AI advancements.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in a field appropriately related to the position OR a masters degree that has content in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, OR a masters degree in another field with additional graduate-level coursework in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics. Qualifying degree and coursework must be awarded by and/or completed with a regionally accredited institution.
  • Previous experience with artificial intelligence deployment in an academic setting.
  • Previous experience working in an academic setting, with an emphasis on external partnerships, and project leadership.
  • Experience in building strategic partnerships and maintaining relationships with regional and national business and industry leaders.
  • Exceptional program and project management skills with the ability to lead complete, cross-functional projects from ideation to execution and evaluation.
  • Expertise in the academic and service oriented application of AI techniques such as machine learning, computer vision, or natural language processing.
  • Expertise in higher education operations, particularly those of community colleges, including academic, student-based, advising, and operational services.
