Patient Care Technician

Role Overview:

We are seeking Patient Care Technicians to join our team of dedicated professionals! As a member of a Magnet-designated Nursing team, you will provide support to inpatient nursing staff while ensuring comfort and safety for patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and assist patients in a timely and efficient manner.
• Handle situations with integrity and compassion.
• Perform tasks such as taking vital signs, conducting EKGs, and collecting specimens.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and provide assistance with procedures when needed.
• Use basic computer and data entry skills.

Key Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of healthcare-related experience in a discipline such as NA, PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Phlebotomist, or LPN.
• If less than 2 years of experience, a Nursing Assistant or other healthcare-related certification within the past year and one year of healthcare-related experience (NA, PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Phlebotomist, or LPN) is required.
• BLS certification required by the time of hire.
• Epic EMR experience is a plus.
