Job Description:
Job Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) provides routine, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary care to a diverse patient population. This role also includes maintaining respiratory equipment, performing phlebotomy, and completing basic laboratory testing as needed. The RCP supports patient care in accordance with clinical standards and performs additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency respiratory therapy procedures

Conduct diagnostic cardiopulmonary procedures

Maintain and ensure proper functioning of respiratory care equipment

Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required

Document all care provided accurately and timely

Support interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

Complete additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
-
Certified or licensed to practice respiratory care

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Blood gas licensure required when applicable to state requirements

High school diploma required; associate degree preferred in facilities that perform arterial punctures or blood gas analysis
Experience
-
One year of clinical respiratory experience preferred
