Who We Need
The Atlassian SME is a systems architect position working with a high-end Digital Engineering Solutions technical team. The Atlassian SME will draw on their experience as an engineer to configure Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management to provide customized, unique solutions for the customer. This position will be responsible for building custom Jira workflows and custom Confluence dashboards to capture and display data. The role involves working with stakeholders to elicit requirements and workflows and turning those into automated and semi-automated processes in Jira. Additionally, the Atlassian SME will use Jira Service Management to manage workflows and asset management.
What Youll Do

Configure and customize Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management products.

Design custom workflows, dashboards, and reports to meet specific requirements.

Automate and extend Jira/Confluence functionality using scripting and APIs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit and analyze requirements.
-
Use coding skills such as JQL, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript to build custom products.

Provide guidance on best practices for SAFe, Agile, and other Jira methodologies.

Support the iterative evolution of products through collaboration and troubleshooting.
-
Manage workflows and asset management using Jira Service Management.
-
Stay current with advancements in Atlassian products and technologies.
Qualifications
Required
-
5+ years of experience in setting up and supporting Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).

Certified Atlassian Developer.
-
Extensive knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management.
-
Advanced SQL and JQL query experience.
-
Experience with REST APIs, Git, and branching models.
-
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-
Front-end development experience (JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Restful APIs, and Java).
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Ability to obtain a minimum Secret-level security clearance.
-
U.S. Citizenship required.
-
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
-
Reliable telework setup with phone and internet connectivity.
Preferred
-
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field (experience may substitute for degree).
-
Background in DoD acquisition and program management.
-
Knowledge of DoD contract types and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Familiarity with SAFe, Agile, and related methodologies.

Coding experience in CSS, Java, and Python.

Certified Scrum Master certification.
