Job Summary
The Unit Secretary supports efficient communication and workflow within the nursing unit. Key responsibilities include acting as a receptionist, maintaining patient records, transcribing and relaying provider orders, and assisting with overall organization at the nursing station. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities

Serve as the primary communication point for the nursing unit

Function as a receptionist for staff, visitors, and providers

Maintain accurate and organized patient records

Transcribe and communicate physician orders promptly

Support the nursing station by maintaining order and assisting with administrative tasks

Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Training

High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Certification as a Unit Secretary preferred
Experience

No experience required

Previous work experience in a medical environment preferred

Familiarity with basic office equipment is desirable
