Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Statistical Programming Infrastructure to lead advanced data analytics and technology initiatives within drug development and biometrics. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in data science, data visualization, and a strong background in large system architecture design and development. This role involves managing data-driven projects, developing innovative solutions, and providing technology support to biostatisticians and programmers. The candidate will also oversee cloud-based Biostat SAS servers, remote desktops, R servers, and manage relationships with Cloud Computing and SAS vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain cloud-based Biostat SAS servers to ensure optimal performance and availability.

  • Manage remote desktop environments and R servers supporting data analysis and biostatistical activities.

  • Provide oversight to SAS vendors and ensure compliance with organizational standards and project requirements.

  • Monitor and optimize server resources, applying necessary updates and performance improvements.

  • Integrate various data sources into centralized or decentralized data warehouses.

  • Utilize cloud platforms for deploying and managing applications.

  • Lead data visualization initiatives using tools such as SAS, R, Power BI, Spotfire, and QlikView.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user interfaces and enhance data visualization capabilities.

  • Present findings and insights through effective data visualizations and reports.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and quality standards.

  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing technical challenges.

  • Develop internal tools and implement automation solutions to enhance programming efficiency.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies in data science, AI, and machine learning.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related discipline.

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and large system architecture design.

  • Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, Java, C#, and C++.

  • Advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, QlikView, and Tableau.

  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and database systems (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle).

  • Proven leadership and project management abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
