Project Manager Remote

Overview
A Project Manager is needed to provide leadership and subject matter expertise on a sustainment and enhancement project. This is a full-time, fully remote role available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS).

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award and currently unfunded.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct oversight of legacy system sustainment, enhancement, and adaptive maintenance projects.

  • Supervise multiple lead roles and ensure delivery of contract requirements.

  • Lead the team through requirements gathering, enhancements, releases, and Agile ceremonies.

  • Ensure Agile/Scrum methodology is followed and effectively applied.

  • Proactively identify and escalate risks or blockers to program leadership.

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder engagement strategies.

  • Keep the team motivated, proactive, and focused on goals.

  • Oversee organized change management throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Participate in hiring processes and performance evaluations of team members.

  • Support career growth and development of direct reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 25 years of experience (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience leading teams in an IT systems environment.

  • Experience managing Scrum/Agile teams using Jira.

  • Familiarity with requirements gathering, PI Planning, and the software development lifecycle.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with flexibility to step in as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with federal agencies.

  • Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with supporting broader program-level goals.

  • Proven collaboration with other project leaders.

Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
