Job Description:
As a veteran, participate in the accommodation process and on-the-job training assignments to gain new skills and transition into civilian employment. Perform special duties as assigned while developing knowledge and competencies in program areas of interest.
Key Responsibilities

Administrative: Complete assigned administrative tasks within established timelines. Collaborate with supervisors to improve administrative and organizational skills.

Meetings: Attend scheduled team and program meetings.

On-the-Job Training: Engage in training events and assignments across areas such as Planning, Finance, Project Management, Security, Procurement, Quality Control, Information Systems, Engineering, Civil Rights, and Human Resources.

Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, activities, and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty).

Separated from military service within the past 5 years.

Virginia residency.

Separation from military service with a disability rating of 10% or more (Department of Veterans Affairs).
Additional Considerations

Training, experience, or education in Military Operations or related fields.

Relevant certifications depending on the program area (e.g., Information Technology).

Interest in pursuing a career in transportation-related fields.

Valid drivers license.
