Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator with an active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance to support infrastructure operations, lab environments, and mission-critical systems. This role involves systems administration, configuration management, automation, and integration of modern technologies across multi-platform environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in Linux/Unix, MacOS, containerization, and automation tools, along with the ability to collaborate across teams and locations.
Who You Are:

Security-Cleared Professional: Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance required.

Education: Bachelors Degree in a STEM field or HS Diploma with 7+ years in lab management or systems administration.
Experience Requirements:

5+ years of directly relevant experience as a Linux System Administrator.

2+ years of MacOS and iOS experience.

Ability to work collaboratively across multiple physical locations.
Desired Skills:

Strong technical writing skills for procedures and SOPs.

Virtualization automation and optimization experience.

Proficiency across multiple operating systems: Linux/Unix, Windows, and MacOS.

DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification preferred.
What Youll Do:

Apply advanced analytical and technical skills to implement infrastructure solutions that support mission execution.

Perform large-scale configuration management and deployment across Windows, MacOS, Linux/Unix, and virtual environments.

Support implementation of new technologies and equipment in lab environments.

Provide systems administration, upgrades, patching, technical support, and troubleshooting.

Monitor RedHat platform security and health; prepare daily reports.

Develop automation solutions with RedHat Openshift, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Podman.

Integrate and configure COTS, GOTS, and third-party apps in containerized environments.

Create automation for system/application deployments using Openshift, Ansible Tower, and Satellite.

Implement access controls, monitor performance, ensure backups, and maintain system security.

Troubleshoot and resolve enterprise storage and replication issues.

Identify and recommend efficiency improvements to existing procedures.

Manage project components and deliver services aligned with objectives.

Contribute to development of lab SOPs and security policies.

Apply security principles and tools to mitigate system vulnerabilities.
