The Vet Office is recruiting an experienced Veterinary Surgeon for a fantastic part-time hospital position in an independent practice in South Wales.
A particularly interesting opportunity for an experienced vet who wants to continue working at hospital level while enjoying a predictable 3-day working week and no out-of-hours.
WORKING HOURS
3 fixed days per week, 8am–5pm:
- Wednesday
- Thursday
- Monday OR Friday
No OOH.
THE ROLE
You will have responsibility for hospitalised patients and outpatient diagnostics, working alongside an experienced clinical team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing new admissions
- Planning and reviewing treatment
- Managing inpatient and ECC cases
- Outpatient diagnostic imaging
- Maintaining strong clinical standards
- Supporting and coaching graduate vets
- Communicating with colleagues and owners to ensure continuity of care

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
An experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with inpatient care, ECC, diagnostics and clinical decision-making.
Experience as a VetGDP Adviser would be particularly valuable.
Postgraduate qualifications or Advanced Practitioner status in Medicine, ECC, Diagnostic Imaging or Cardiology would also be highly regarded.
