The Role

As Lead Veterinarian, you will play a key role in both clinical excellence and team leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing consultations and physical examinations
  • Diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses and injuries
  • Performing surgical and medical procedures
  • Interpreting laboratory and diagnostic results
  • Developing treatment plans and advising clients on pet health and wellness
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Collaborating closely with veterinary nurses and support staff
  • Supporting and mentoring team members
  • Helping to establish and maintain a positive clinic culture focused on patient care and community service

Requirements

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
  • Active Oregon veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Strong medical and surgical skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities
  • Leadership mindset and team-oriented approach
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development
