Senior / Experienced Veterinary Surgeon

The Vet Office is recruiting an ambitious and experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to take their career to the next level.

This role is based in a stand-alone, well-established small animal practice located on the outskirts of a vibrant university town, in a busy residential area with on-site parking and excellent motorway and train links to Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, London and the Peak District.

Vets are encouraged to work across a mix of consultations and surgery, gradually expanding their skillset and comfort zone. The environment is collaborative, with strong communication, daily huddles and a real team ethos.

The Team & Facilities

  • Dynamic team of 4 vets, supported by RVNs, SVNs, CCAs and an experienced Practice Manager

  • Strong mentoring culture, including support for recent graduates

  • Wide and varied medical and surgical caseload

  • In-house capability for advanced and orthopaedic surgery, offering excellent learning opportunities

  • State-of-the-art facilities, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, digital endoscopy, in-house lab and extensive surgical and orthopaedic equipment

Working Pattern

  • 4-day working week (full-time)

  • 1 in 4 Saturday rota (9:00–12:00)

  • No out-of-hours

  • Part-time hours considered for the right candidate

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to £70,000 (dependent on experience & FTE)

  • £2,000 welcome bonus (T&Cs apply)

About You

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)

  • Confident, motivated and clinically curious

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
