Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Belmullet, Co. Mayo, Ireland

The Vet Office is currently recruiting an experienced Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established veterinary practice in the beautiful coastal town of Belmullet, County Mayo.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys a varied caseload and is passionate about working with both farm and companion animals in a supportive and friendly environment.

The Role

This position offers a diverse caseload consisting of approximately:

• 70% Large Animal
• 30% Small Animal

Large Animal Responsibilities

• TB testing.
• Preventative healthcare and herd health management.
• Routine and emergency care of cattle and sheep.
• Farm visits and client support.
• Reproductive and fertility work (depending on experience).

Small Animal Responsibilities

• General consultations.
• Vaccinations and preventative medicine.
• Routine surgeries including neutering.
• Dental procedures.
• Medical case workups and patient care.

What We Are Looking For

• Veterinary degree recognised by the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
• Previous mixed animal experience required.
• Good communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence preferred.
