The Vet Office is recruiting a Lead Veterinary Surgeon for an established small animal practice in Coolock, North Dublin.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who wants to combine clinical work with leadership, team development and greater influence over how a practice grows.
Importantly, you don't necessarily need to already be a Lead Vet. If you're an experienced clinician ready to take the next step in your career, we'd be very interested in speaking with you.
The Package
€65,000–€75,000 gross/year, depending on experience.

The Role
As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you'll have the opportunity to shape the clinical direction and future development of the practice.
You'll:
- Lead, mentor and develop the clinical team
- Continue working clinically with a varied small animal caseload
- Maintain and develop high clinical standards
- Help create a positive and collaborative team culture
- Support the operational and financial performance of the clinic
- Identify opportunities to improve patient care and client experience
- Work closely with the Regional Director and wider clinical network
- Play an active role in the future growth of the practice
This is a hands-on clinical leadership position, rather than a purely management-based role.
Who Are We Looking For?
You'll need:
MVB, DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
3+ years' veterinary experience
Strong small animal clinical skills
Excellent communication skills
An interest in mentoring and developing colleagues
A proactive and collaborative approach
Previous leadership or commercial experience is beneficial but NOT essential.
If you're currently an experienced Veterinary Surgeon or Senior Vet and feel ready for your first formal leadership position, we'd encourage you to apply.

You'll join an established practice with a loyal client base and varied caseload, supported by a wider clinical network.
Facilities include:
