About the job:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the development team in building, testing, and deploying WordPress sites while ensuring security enhancements and maintaining best practices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development team in building, testing, and deploying WordPress sites.
  • Assist in customizing WordPress themes and plugins to add functionality or enhance user experience, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborating with designers and other developers to implement website layouts and features.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging WordPress issues.
  • Maintain documentation for WordPress projects, including code comments, technical specifications, and user guides.
  • Updating and maintaining existing WordPress sites with content and functionality changes.
  • Staying up to date with WordPress trends, best practices, and new features.
  • Leading regular Security enhancements and monitoring activities.
  • Managing deployments of WordPress sites on WPEngine.
  • Take ownership of the customer relationship and deliver work within the agreed SLA timelines.


Requirement and Qualification:

  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • At least 3 years experience in WordPress development.
  • Familiarity with WordPress CMS and solid understanding of PHP and MySQL.
  • Understanding of Cloud Platforms such as WPEngine, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ability to create new and customize existing WordPress themes.
  • Extensive experience with WordPress plugin development.
  • Understanding of Secure coding principles and Security Hardening in PHP and WordPress.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Tracking progress of deliverables and reporting status to leadership.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
