About the job Senior HR Generalist
Job Summary
The Senior HR Generalist will provide strategic HR planning, analysis, and leadership to support Business Unit (BU) and plant leaders during TE Connectivitys expansion in Malaysia. The role requires strong multitasking skills and the ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support Plant Transformation & Expansion

Develop and implement HR plans to support the plants expansion strategy.

Lead and coordinate the local HR team during transformation initiatives.
Be the Strategic People Partner

Guide and challenge site leadership teams to make impactful, people-focused decisions.
Drive HR Excellence Locally

Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management, HR Services) to deliver high-quality and tailored HR solutions.

Work closely with Corporate functions such as Compliance, Legal, Safety, and Government Affairs.
Champion Employee Relations & Compliance

Apply deep knowledge of Malaysian labor law to manage employee relations in a transparent and legally sound manner.

Maintain a positive and productive labor relations climate.

Serve as the primary HR contact for external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and government agencies.

Ensure full compliance with all local labor laws and regulations.
Activate Culture & Engagement

Implement internal communication strategies that energize employees and connect them to the company's mission.

Foster a culture rooted in trust, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Lead Change & Transform Work

Drive key HR initiatives such as workforce planning, performance enablement, and organizational design.

Act as a transformation catalyst and promote continuous improvement.
Stay Ahead of the Curve

Monitor industry trends and internal feedback to adapt HR practices aligned with business goals, employee needs, and global standards.
Job Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing environment.

Proven ability to innovate and improve HR processes while maintaining compliance with corporate values and local laws.

Strong risk assessment and compliance management capabilities.

Solid understanding of Malaysian labor law and up-to-date knowledge of market best practices.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with confidence to present at the management level.

Chinese-speaking candidates are preferred.
