Job Summary
Responsible for managing the overall operations of the materials department, including procurement, inventory management, production material supply planning, and logistics. The goal is to support smooth factory operations, reduce costs, and improve resource utilization efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
1. Procurement Management

Develop and implement procurement plans for raw materials, auxiliary materials, and components to ensure timely delivery.

Establish and maintain good supplier relationships, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate pricing.

Analyze market trends to ensure procurement strategies can adapt to fluctuations in raw material prices.
2. Inventory Management

Control safety stock levels and implement inventory turnover strategies to minimize inventory costs.

Oversee material inbound and outbound processes, ensuring alignment between records and physical stock; conduct regular stock audits.
3. Material Planning

Develop Material Requirements Planning (MRP) based on production schedules to ensure timely material supply.

Coordinate with the production team to adjust material supply plans according to changes in production schedules.
4. Data and System Management

Utilize ERP or related systems to manage end-to-end material flow, ensuring data integrity.

Generate regular reports, analyze material operations data, and propose process improvements.
5. Cost Control

Analyze and optimize material costs to reduce procurement and logistics expenses.

Participate in product cost structure analysis and propose feasible cost-saving initiatives.
6. Team Management

Lead daily operations, training, and performance evaluation of the materials department team.

Enhance team capabilities and establish efficient workflows and collaboration mechanisms.
7. Other Responsibilities

Assist in customer audits and internal project execution as needed.

Perform other tasks assigned by superiors.
Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Well-versed in procurement, inventory management, and material planning processes.

Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, with strong data analysis skills.

Knowledge of plastic raw materials (PP, ABS, PC, etc.) and their market trends is a plus.
-
Proficient in Mandarin to liaise with China counterparts.
