About the job Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Responsibilities

Develop and establish supplier evaluation standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of qualified suppliers.

Review and assess potential new suppliers.

Collaborate with outsourcing suppliers to improve the quality of outsourced products, especially for new projects.

Evaluate supplier performance based on defined standards and metrics.

Investigate and manage non-conformance issues from suppliers and ensure timely and effective corrective actions.

Monitor and verify the implementation and effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.

Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
-
Possess knowledge of automotive quality systems (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA 6.3), including relevant training and audit experience.
Job Requirements

Bachelor's or Masters Degree in a relevant field.

Minimum 12 years of working experience in a related role.

Strong understanding of supplier management processes, including workflows and operational principles.

Excellent cross-functional communication and coordination skills.

Ability to lead supplier-related improvement initiatives.

Proficient in quality tools such as Minitab, the 7 QC tools, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Capable of handling customer-facing communications professionally.

Knowledge of standards for evaluating new equipment and materials.

Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage (to liaise with counterparts in China).
