Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage small to medium IR4.0 system and equipment improvements, optimizations, expansions, and project upgrades.

  2. Provide moderate technical assistance to cross-functional teams.

  3. Manage control system assessments and provide design support and training.

  4. Assist in new product qualifications and trial runs related to automation projects.

  5. Update and develop:

    • User Requirement Specifications (URS)

    • Functional Specifications (FS)

    • Design Specifications (DS)

    • Operation and Maintenance Manuals

  6. Supervise and lead Technicians/Interns on assigned tasks and projects.

  7. Collaborate with product and process engineering teams to meet automation/IR4.0 goals.

  8. Ensure all projects meet global machinery safety and regulatory compliance.

  9. Achieve departmental project cost-saving targets and support plant-wide savings initiatives.

  10. Ensure strict compliance with contractor management procedures.

  11. Liaise between external vendors and cross-functional teams.

  12. Promote a data-driven culture within the workplace.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree or Advanced Diploma in IT, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

  2. Minimum of 23 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.

  3. Hands-on experience with:

    • Automation equipment

    • PLCs

    • HMIs

    • Robotic systems

    • Vision systems

    • Mechanical design

  4. Knowledge of standards such as:

    • ISO 13849-1

    • UL safety standards

  5. Skills in:

    • Python programming

    • Power BI

    • Web and app programming

    • Data science (advantageous)

  6. Good interpersonal and strong communication skills.
