What You'll Do

  • Manage team of cost controllers, ensuring analytical and granular understanding of COGS performance against budgets, and trends while minimizing variances
  • Run continuous improvement actions aiming to optimize COGS through item-level consumption analysis, menu engineering, waste reduction and collaboration with various functional stakeholders on delivering lasting financial impact
  • Lead inventory audit, count, and reconciliation process across assets and analyze deviation vs standard and theoretical costing
  • Lead monthly closing process, ensuring posted accounts were verified and reconciled, aiming to produce accurate, error-free accounting reports
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal COGS controls
  • Automate COGS cost control performance reporting and enable live viewing.
  • Handle costing activities and processes and automate functions.

What Are We Looking For

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
  • Min 8+ years of experience in F&B - COGS Cost Control roles
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights into the company's financial status with an eye for detail
  • Familiarity with accounting software systems and Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments within the organization as well as external stakeholders
  • Proven Leadership skills: - Ability to lead a team of cost controllers is crucial for success in this role
  • Must have a strategic mindset to participate in financial standards setting, budget preparation, process development and implementation
